We're the Souto family and we had a dream: to live a nomad life and find our dream place to retire! A place where we could feel at home, regardless of where it was. As global citizens with passports and residencies that give us easy access to lots of different countries, we had time to move around, plan and figure out where to settle. However, the world has changed a lot and it made us change our minds, in a way that we decided to speed up our plans in finding our dream place to live! After considering a variety of possible countries we finally found a safe, quiet and peaceful place where we could settle. A wonderful place that inspired us to share our experiences and invite other families like ours from all around the world to do the same, and help them to make this challenging move to fulfill their dreams!

Based on our own international experience regarding moving abroad along with the rise of demand for expats coming to Brazil, we founded the NewSettlers Consultants.

Who we are

What we do

NewSettlers Consultants was founded to offer a personalized and humanized relocation and immigration service to foreign individuals and families wishing to legally establish themselves in Brazil. It’s a one-stop-shop where we, the Souto Family, along with our consultants, personally take care of each client by devoting the attention and care needed for them to make this move in a smooth and safe manner. We take care of the whole process of expatriation to Brazil, from assistance in obtaining the necessary documentation to settling in on Brazilian soil. Moreover, we offer a personalized mentoring service designed for each client according to their needs to answer their questions, set up a strategic action plan and assist them in making decisions. We also offer aid services in cultural, linguistic and social adaptation, identifying forms of integration with the local community and other personalized services that certainly will contribute to the adaptation of our clients on their new life, so that they can successfully settle in a new place and feel at home.

Parana

The fourth most populated state of Brazil, the state of Parana has one of its most developed economies, responsible for the fourth strongest GDP of the country. Its climate and rich soil allow a unique combination of preserved beautiful natural landscapes with a high production of crops and grains, helping Brazil to keep its title of the ‘Barn of the World’. The state is known for its vibrant multicultural characteristics, mainly due to the integration of Germans, Polish, Italians and Ukrainians, along with Syrians, Iranians, and Arabs. In Curitiba, the state’s capital, there are entire neighborhoods where you can find restaurants, stores, and buildings with clear influences of these cultures. Its countryside is particularly precious with untouched high-altitude landscapes and the unique presence of the Araucaria Tree (Brazilian Pine); lots of National Parks with a rich flora and fauna, and waterfalls, including one of the Seven Wonders of the World: Iguazu Falls!

Located at the very bottom of the Brazilian map, the state of Rio Grande do Sul is the sixth most populated of the country, having one of the most multicultural populations formed mainly by the Portuguese, Germans, Italians, Lebanese, and Spanish mixed with the indigenous people. Its vibrant economy makes this state one of the richest in the country, contributing to its very low poverty rates and high quality of life. Originally a Spanish possession during the discovery of the Americas, the state has a unique history that left its mark in their culture and landscapes. From the well-known wars with the neighboring countries for territory to the presence of the Spanish Jesuits building entire cities made of stone (the Missions), the state carries all this rich heritage up to present days with pride, showing to its visitors and residents everywhere they go. It’s also this state from which the most famous Brazilian barbeque comes, with its unique flavor and taste, incomparable!
