As a young couple, Esdras and Carol’s dream was simple yet profound: to live a nomadic life and travel the world learning new languages and cultures. Since very young, both of us had visited lots of countries but had never settled in any other than our home country, Brazil. Then the third member of our family showed up: Theo came along to bring us happiness and to propel us towards our dreams! The team was complete but now the goal was even bigger than the dream: to give Theo the ability to be anywhere he wants to when he grows up!

So, the new journey started… still very young, at 5 years old, Theo has traveled around with us and by the time he turned 9 we all became global citizens. We now had the entire world to explore as holding a Brazilian Passport, a Canadian Permanent Residency and an Italian Citizenship we could go pretty much anywhere.

Then the unexpected happened, the world went crazy with the pandemic! New restrictions and lockdowns imposed a necessary adaptation in our plans and a new approach to our strategy. In late 2021, after five successful years in Canada, we made the bold decision of leaving a stable and comfortable life to immerse ourselves in a new venture! The new plan was to speed up our nomadic life goal and soon find a place, at least until the dust had settled.

Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and Asia were good options but we couldn’t find a reliable relocation services person or company to help us on this move with all aspects of this life changing venture. Therefore, we decided to show Theo his home country then take the opportunity to know the surrounding countries, South America was now the target.

However, what a surprise we had when we discovered the enchanting Southern Region of Brazil! A very prosperous and developed land shaped by the convergence of European immigrants, offering a comparable standard of living and safety indices, yet presenting a unique cultural and geographical allure. The dream place we spent years looking for traveling the world was right here, surprisingly in our own country! There was no reason to continue searching: WE GOT SETTLED!

But the beauty of choosing our own destiny is that we can change our lives drastically if we want: SO, WE DID!

We moved to a beautiful and peaceful countryside city. We embodied a sustainable and self-sufficient lifestyle.
