Proof of other regular sources in order to complement the amount required above;

Validity and Renewal

The initial period of residence of the migrant holder of the authorization will be up to 02 years, with renewal possible upon proof of means of maintenance.

Validity and Renewal

Residence permit applicable to individual migrants who intend to invest in a legal entity in Brazil with their own funds from abroad.

Documents

1. Corporate act duly registered with the Board of Trade or Civil Registry that proves the subscription and payment of foreign investment in the capital stock of the Brazilian company of at least:
• (i) BRL 500,000.00 (five hundred thousand reais);
• (ii) BRL 150,000.00 (one hundred and fifty thousand reais) for the purpose of investing in innovation, basic or applied research, of a scientific or technological nature, in addition to the following conditions:

The enterprise receiving this investment must meet at least one of the following conditions:

• (i) The investment must be destined to the innovation of a governmental institution;
• (ii) Be located in a technology park;
• (iii) Be an incubated or graduated enterprise;
• (iv) Have been a finalist in a government program to support startups;
• (v) Have benefited from a startup accelerator in Brazil;

Or

Constitute the main activity of the company and be considered the product, process, or service:

• (i) Original as to the degree of originality;
• (ii) Comprehensive as to the degree of penetration; and
• (iii) Relevant as to the degree of impact and potential to generate value.
2. Investment or Business Plan with a term of execution of 03 (three) years and that contemplate the following topics:
• (i) Definition of the business;
• (ii) Purpose of the project; and
• (iii) Job or income generation.
3. Proof of foreign investment upon presentation of the “Current Corporate Framework” screen – Declaratory Registration of Direct Foreign Investment in Brazil – on the Central Bank website, proving the payment of the investment in the receiving company;
4. Exchange contract issued by the Bank receiving the investment.
5. Corporate document of the Brazilian legal company and act of election or appointment of its legal representative, duly registered with the competent body, as well as the National Register of Legal Entities – CNPJ;
6. Valid migrant travel document.

Peculiarities

1. The Ministry of Justice may take steps to verify the compatibility of the plan presented with the company's activities and request additional documentation.
2. For purposes of continuity of residence, exceptionally, the economic context, the purpose of the activity, and the potential for generating employment or income in the country may be observed.
3. The migrant is qualified as a tax resident.

Validity and Renewal

Indeterminate validity or according to the term established in the corporate documents of the Brazilian company. Term renewal subject to proof of requirements set out in the investment or business plan.
